Can someone enlighten me on whats involved to have Sirius installed in my car, and integrated with my "SAT" audio button?
Also, what are people saying about Sirius?
Thanks!

my 'factory' sirius (actually, i think they're installed at the point-of-entry because the installer left the installation instructions in my 8) works well, and integrates into the stereo and the above stereo display and can be controlled by the steering wheel controls, which i think is the only way to go...

I have the aftermarken audiovox unit. I love Sirius. I actually mounted it between the rear view mirror and the wind shield. It hides it pretty well and all the wires can be run through the head liner and down the sides of the windshield. I just used a small piece of velcro to hold it to the window. I ran the antenna into the trunk and out the back of the car. It sits between the trunk and the rear window on the passenger side. Its was an easy intall and you the unit isn't in the way at all. Worked out nicley.

I think the one nice feature of the integrated Sat radio is that you can control it via the steering wheel. It also make for a relatively clean install, although an external unit can be installed and look OK. My aftermarket RCA receiver also has a nice red and black readout that matches the radio and HUD nicely. Since Sirius now has a portable product... that might actually be a nice solution since you can carry it with you. I think another plus to having a separate receiver is that you can use it in your house, other cars and so forth... or you could buy more than one receiver. Lots of reasons to go either way, those are just a few considerations to think about.
