I just got a sirius stratus for the RX8. Where is the best place (not tacky) to mount an aftermarke sirius inside, I know there isn't much room... And the best place to put the antena? I want it to look the best!! and not tacky. Thanks

 

I couldn't tell you where the best place to mount the Stratus but my Shinka came with Sirius and the antenna is mounted on the trunk right against the rear window. It a real inconspicuous place to put it especially if you have a spoiler

 

I would get the panavise bracket mentioned in https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/sirius-install-106039/. This is my 3rd Sirius radio I have used in my 8 and this is the best mount that I have used. I put the antenna where I did to minimize the amount of wire that would be exposed.

 

i heard that you can put the antenna on the inside of the car, on the dash , i think wouldnt look to bad, hardly noticable... i have the sirius as well.. im planning on taking out my ashtray and putting it there

 

I did a fiberglass remake of the ashtray to hold my receiver. I love it...

I put the antenna inside of the rear wing.. reception is the same as my friends whose is mounted on the trunk from the factory.
