Everytime I'm listening to music whether the volume is low or high my left side sub in the door will cut out... sometimes even the right one leaving only the center speaker as my source of audio. there have been times where I am able to slightly kick the area of the door where the left sub is located and it will come back on.. but only temporarily and then cut back out again. to me, it sounds like a short but I cannot figure out why both of them would go out, sometimes its only one sub at a time and others both go out.

can take the door panel off and just make sure the wire isn't loose damaged

Since you have troubles with BOTH sides, check the connections at the amplifier in the trunk. That's where both speakers' wires are run together and it's a likely place where an accidental bump might have dislodged (either fully or more likely partially) a common connector.
