Satellite Radio Receiver Placement

Satellite Radio Receiver Placement
I recently purchased a Delphi Skyfi3 XM receiver and I trying to figure out where to put it in my car so it can be as unobtrusive as possible. I hate looking at wires 'n stuff. Do ya'll have any suggestions on a good place to mount the receiver? If you have any pics. of your mounts, rather they are Skyfies or not, I appreciate you posting them so I can get some ideas.

Not to discourage you from using your Skyfi3, but it would be a cleaner appearance to use the aux in sat adapter to control and display your satellite from the OEM H/U, or you can use the Metra dash/interface kit to replace the OEM radio with one that has sat control.
If there is a reason you'd prefer use the stand alone Skyfi instead of either of the above, I'd recommend placing it where the flip up door/cig lighter is, just in front of the shifter. Anywhere else will either be too far, will appear "stuck on", or in the way. Another alternative is to use a gooseneck style universal mount or a windshield mount. With either, you can hide the majority of the wires between the seat and center console, or down the dash vent if you're using the windshield mount.
When it comes to mounting your antenna, you can either place it underneath the windshield wiper area, underneath the plastic cover, but not directly under the driver's side wiper, or in the interior rear deck area. Both allow you to still receive your sat signal well without having to sticking it on the outside of the car. XM especially will receive better vs. Sirius, although with their recent merger, it may all go sat/terrestrial soon for those who are running Sirius gear.
