Removing dash components
So the little rubber piece that holds the vents together to position them up and down came off. I'm need to remove the center dash components inorder to get the vent out to replace it. I remembered at one point someone posting explicit directions on removing parts of the 8. Does anyone recall that, or possibly changed out the radio and knows how to? Shouldn't be a hard job, I just want to get it out right so I can put it back together the right way. Thanks.

p.s. If I'm not explicit enough maybe i can post pics of my little issue...

You start by removing the ash tray and working your way up. Once you get the radio out, there are 2 screws behind the face plate that hold the vents in place.
There is one bolt on the side of the radio that will require a 10mm socket and an extension about 6 inches long to remove. Do a search on this board for "The Bolt" to find pictures of it.
