I recently bought the Metra dash kit and installed an aftermarket head unit. I forgot to remove the CDs from my CD player before disconnecting it and installing the other unit. Most of them are burned discs, but one of them was a new CD I just bought. Is there anyway to get it out without hooking the whole system back up?

I can get a 12v power source and hook it up with alligator clips, but I don't know if that is a good idea. If I just supply the 12v and ground connections, will the radio start up and let me eject the CDs?

 

I did something similar in that I changed out my OEM unit for an after-market..forgot to eject my cd's. I took it by Best Buy, they hooked it up and ejected the cd's. Easy, breezy.

 

Just to let everyone know, based on this image: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...42&postcount=7 I was able to connect 14.4v power to pin B and ground to pin W and the CD player started up and allowed me to eject all my discs.
