Removal of Volume ****

Hey folks. Just a quick question that I need an answer for. I just ordered a custom **** for my stereo ( like the one found here --> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX8-R...spagenameZWDVW ) and wanted to know if there was anything special I needed to do to take off the factory volume ****. I tried the old tried and true method, just try yanking it off, but it didn't budge. Should I use a small flat-head screw driver to force it off??

Thanks ahead of time for any info!

Arrow Pull.....

Pull, and pull some more.

A screwdriver will just chew it, and it's surround, up.

You could try a set of vice-grips with cloth around them, but there is no trick, just pull.

I just changed mine yesterday. Pull HARD. I thought i was going to break it, but it popped off eventually.

You'll need to pry the little retainer out of the old **** and put i tinto the new one. Pulling it out isn't a problem, but you need to press it into the aluminum **** with a lot of force (hint: I used a penny so it wouldn't dig into my thumb)
