Roger that. I wrote the installation instructions that the vendor has now posted on his web site, and it's true: You do need to re-use the rigid plastic frame that fits inside the OEM boot. I suspect it's not a very expensive part from Trussville, assuming it's sold separately from the OEM boot.

Installed the Redline shift boot today. Even though it came from Europe, it only took a week to arrive. Got the black leather with red stitching to match my red/black interior. I was thinking that this was just a nice touch but I really like it much more than I expected. You might think that the original shift boot is leather but you can definitely tell the difference once the real stuff is installed.

Hard 8... thanks for the excellent installation instructions. You made them really easy to follow.
