Any1 out there using a recaro infant seat in their series 1 8? My daughter is getting much bigger now and I can't wait to upgrade to a front-facing one.

I saw a beautiful red recaro one that was posted on facebook in an R3 but people commented that it was never sold in the U.S.

I checked a few websites and I saw a bunch of different models and price ranges and wanted to get some feelers out to see if any of you have used them before, or which models you recommend based on the aspect of it fitting comfortably in the back seat.

Let me know if you guys have any experience/recommendations.

Recaro child seats are great. We have two of the ProRIDE's. I wouldn't use one rear-facing in an RX8, but they are great front-facing. The only complaint about the ProRIDE is that the base is much taller than other car seats. This is great, because the kids can see out the windows, but it reduces rear leg room. We are looking at upgrading to the ProSPORT soon, which has a shorter base.

Consumer Reports also rates the Recaro child seats very highly.
