Just bought a 2005 RX8. Whoever had it before me had an aftermarket audio system set-up in it. They took it out before I got it. So I replaced the climate control unit as it needed and it worked but my speakers wouldn't . Tried figuring out the problem and now the hot/cold doesnt work. The center climate controls don't work. The 0-5 fan speed works.
Also the display above the radio won't come on and the radio/cd player doesnt work.
This is killing me and I don't know what to do. HELP!!!
I know have 2 factory radios that aren't working.

 

Where in Ohio are you located?
Maybe someone local can help you out.
Strange that the fan speed works and (it appears) nothing else.
If you're close to me I could lend you a hand.

 

perhaps the front plate got banged up ... how are the connections?

 

I am located between cbus and dayton. The dealership sent me a Whole radio and climate control unit. I took out the climate control because I didn't want to use the radio because it didn't have the Satellite button. So while I was troubleshooting the problem at one point I used the radio they sent me and hooked it all up, power antenna and the little display above the radio and I got nothing. That's when I hooked my original one back up and got nothing. That's when the big issue occurred. Did it have a communication issue between the little display above the radio causing it to shut down?
