question about navi/dvd

I just purchased a 04 RX8. Am I able to play dvd's using the dvd rom for the navi? If someone can give me any type of info that would be great.

Why would a GPS play DVDs?

Have you tried putting a DVD into the drive and seeing what happens?

they play fine, unless your car has a yeast infection..
