ok well I have replaced all of my interior lights and made them all blue except the ones in the middle that click

the reason for that is that I cannot get the cover off worth my life. My car is a brand new 09 rx8 and I really don't want to scratch the cover.

does anyone know how to get the cover of the 2 middle clicky lights off easily?

 

flat head screw driver. where did you get the blue light panels?

 

^Best to tape the screwdriver so you don't risk scratching anything.

 

I'm pretty sure you have to take a screw out of the inside of the sunglasses holder to get that whole panel off.

 

You have to remove two screws from inside the sunglass holder, and then there is a tab on each side of the housing you have to push in so that you can pop the whole assembly out. At least that is the way it is on my '04, and I can't imagine they'd change it too much for the 09.

Screwdriver + pull that sucker out.

 

thanks alot guys. I managed to get the panel off but my leds wouldn't fit through the cover so I had to get them changed at the place i got them from.

It was an easy enough change and now the blue lights look beautiful on the 8.

Yeah that is exactly what I was going for. Too much red or blue doesn't look that great to me. I think I'm going to do red in the doors as well. It may look a little fast and furious but I dont give a F*ck, I like it.

 

I have been relegated to eating "regular flavor" oatmeal this morning since I ran out of my Maple and Brown Sugar flavor. I didn't know they made regular flavor oatmeal any more!

On the upside, I've learned a new life lesson - two packets of sugar will make almost anything better.
