I cannot find the other one either.
I copied the missing dyi into a .doc back when I read it.
I will check when I get home to see if I have it.
If so, I will let you know.

Why do you need to know? Just pull up on the boot and the entire console pops off.

The best step-by-step I found was this on:

http://www.whatsmyip.org/ipodrx8/1.php

Though it's meant to show you how to 'hack' the tape player for Aux input, it shows real well how to open up the dash and get to the head unit pic by pic.

I installed my PIE that past Wednesday and used the thread you were looking for as a guide to remove the head. I ended up mounting my PIE inder the dash where the NAV unit goes. The removal was easy.
