Picture on inside door?

Does anyone have a picture of the RX8 front door with the speaker out and the window rolled down?

I am starting my project and wanted to double check before buying my subwoofers.

Yes I said subwoofers.

Funny. :squint:

I did search but after about an hour I gave up. I did find great pictures without the window rolled up. I guess it would have been faster to remove the door panel. :icon_no2:

Anyway, I purchased the subs. I will figure out how to make them fit or I will use them in another vehicle.

You didn't read the audio install guide sticky did you?
Safe mounting depth for speakers in the front door is located in the first post of Speaker size, harnesses, kits, etc: Audio install reference . There are links to the photos you're looking for too.

Actually I did. It did mention speaker depths around 3 inches but is also said that more depth could be had if the magnet cleared the window when it was down.

It has great pictures except I did not see one with the speaker taken out and the window down. The speaker I am planning to use has a neo motor structure that is quite small (about 3" in diameter) so if the window only goes into the opening 2-3 inches, it should clear.

Anyway, I am getting the speakers tomorrow and I will see what will actually fit in the door.

Here is a picture of the subwoofer. I am planning to use 4 of these.

One in each door and to replace the 6 x 9 in the rear deck. Each woofer only weighs 5.88 lbs but has about a inch of linear travel.

I've got 8's in my door now, factory size is 9". We built out a spacer but only because of the mods we did to my door panel, I don't have everything handy or I'd post pics for you. (it's on another pc...doh!)
