Parking Light LED

Parking Light LED
Being that this is an electrical issue I feel this is the appropriate forum for this issue.
I've read Preacher's sticky on bulb sizes and 9k's post regarding the craftsmanship of RotaryFX.com's LEDs and I have a question regarding the rear parking lights on my 04.
My driver side rear parking lights (the red light on the outer part of the housing) went out and I'm trying to find a replacement for them.
Firstly, what size are these bulbs? I read up and saw that they're LEDs and a few are saying they are 194/168's. Can anyone confirm that these are in fact LED, and if they are that they are this size?
Secondly, can anyone vouch for the quality of these LEDs from VLEDs and SuperbrightLEDS?
Thirdly, would I be better off getting the single LED or the multi-LED configuration? I read some posts and some people said that the multi's burn out a lot quicker than the singles.
Lemme know what you guys have! Thanks!

Going to answer you, but out of order.
I would take the VLED's over Superbrights any day, but that is a personal opinion and you will get many different ones.
In terms of the lights that you are directly speaking of, if you mean the ones that look like strips in the corners or outside of the rear lights, then you are SOL. They are in fact LED's, but are in no way 194's or 168's. To my knowledge they are not replaceable as they are part of the overall taillight assembly. I've learned to "never" say "never", but it would be very difficult to do and I do not know the exact size. So...............if you mean the ones pointed to in the pic, then the above applies.
I do believe that some one took apart the housing on time, attempted to do it in some fashion, and may have even been successful, but that is a faint memory. You'd have to search and find it.
In terms of singular vs. multi, I don't think it really matters. I run both types and many of them. In five years I have had to replace exactly one LED, but then again......I use VLED's and generally you get what you pay for. Actually, I just got a coupon code for VLED's, so check out the thread I'm going to make in a moment. Here's the thread just made............. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/vleds-15%25-off-until-9-15-10-a-203640/

That'd be a horrible design flaw if that were the case. Why would they make that so hard to replace considering that lights go out all the time... damn. I'm gonna have to look into the replacement of these and maybe do a write up if it is as tough as you say!

Try some searches...Like I said.......I think somebody either did it or attempted it at one time.
If I find it, I will post it back here.
First search attempt............ not a good sign! https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=taillight+LED
Strike two! https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...tail+light+LED

I'm gonna check the connection like they said, I pray to god that's the problem cuz replacing a taillight would be so expensive. what a design flaw that they'd make those impossible to replace haha
