New subs pics

I got this stuff done at Custom Sounds in Austin about 3 weeks ago, but didn't have a digital camera at my dorm so I had to wait until I got back home. It's 2 JL Audio W3v2 10", a 400watt Eclipse amp, and a custom vinyl box, and vinyl amp rack with cover for when I'm carrying stuff in the trunk.

I'm gonna go to hobby lobby and see if I can find some matching carpet for the amp cover, but this works for the moment.

Great setup... Love the Box!!

Do you have the bose upgrade in there already or were you just adding onto the base stereo?

What was the total cost? (broken down if possible)

I have the bose system, just needed some extra ummph on the lows and I wanted it to look classy so I put out the extra cash for them to do it custom. total cost was $1200 for everything. So that's:
$200 for the amp
$360 for the subs
$450 for custom box and amp rack
$120 for parts and labor
then taxes

Seems a little steep to me, but it looks good, he tuned the sound great, and he threw in the vinyl covering on the amp rack and box, along with that amp cover so I think I got a pretty good deal. It was also a better deal than what I had been given by other people so I'm pleased.

Very nice.
Similiar to my setup, except mine wasn't a custom box and I did the install myself.
2 10" JL audio w6v2's, JL audio 500/1 amp, mazda cargo tray. Pictures here.

I actually visited the Custom sounds by Fiesta and they described to me exactly
what you have. After finding a box that would fit perfectly I decided to do it myself.

Also, If you have any free time next semester, checkout texasrxs.com, (meets, rides, discounts)

Beautiful setup. Are you planning to upgrade the tweeters or front components also?

You won't be carrying much in the trunk

Thanks for the compliments. You're right, I'm not carrying too much in my trunk anymore, but I did manage to fit quite a bit of my stuff in there for the journey home from college last week. Yeah, I'd like to upgrade the components with Focals, but I'm not rich yet, lol. Would have done 12's or 10" W7s, but again, the whole money thing. Spending the money I got now on an emanage and wiring harness. I've seen most of your setups on the forum and I was very impressed. I would have loved to do the install myself, but I didn't have the time, and I don't think I could have made it look that good. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

they have put them in a small sealed box, but it has noise when the trunk is opened. it sounds fine. the bass is great. everytying is good engouh for me except the noise. they said the noise is becaue that it is a sealed box, but i don't think that's the problem. so what might the problem be? the box? the amp? can u guys give me some ideas? need ur help!!!! thx

it's probably the box, are the speakers put in all the way, cause it might just be the rattle from the speakers, my bro has a similar set up on his focus, except he has it molded in to the corner through a custom fiberglass case. His speakers used to make the same kind of noise, they just were not in all the way, try repositioning the speakers, if not, the case might be to big for the speakers.
