Here is my first modification on my RX8.
I have replaced the synthetic rubber cover by real leather and some padding.
You keep all the fonctionnalities of the stock armrest.
The lock button can be chrome plated (mat or gloss).
The price could be about the half than Mazda leather part($325.95)without lock button treatment.
What do you think about this?

It soundslike a nice idea to me as long as you dont live in a hot city wherethe leather will burn your arm afterleaving the car baking in the sun forseveral hours.

Europe & Japan you have the option for a 5 or 6 speed no option for a stupid Auto...which Europeans hate those autos

In Europe we have at least 2 models:
-231hp 6speed (manual)
-192hp 5speed (manual)
and we love these cars

Any idea where you can get the chromeplating/metalplating of plastic parts done (or how to do it). I would like to do something like this to my centre console side stips (as mine are a little scatched).
