navigation software erase

navigation software erase

i erase my nav software by accident need a backup disk anyone know how to ? not map disk not firmware the software for unit itself

yea,

i have that same question,, the disk jumped out of the car and erased itself in someones computer..


it could happen?

for me to poop on..

uh. I know you can delete your stored POI's by unplugging the nav from the battery for a day or so, but the system itself runs on firmware, not software, and the map discs are read only. Baring hardware failure, there shouldn't be a way to "erase the software"

Perhaps the problem is something else? What exactly does the nav do when you try and use it?

ok to start with this i install the factory navi into a non navi car did my onw harness used it for a year or so no problem i got the programing menu from fctory since i work in a honda dealer and is similar i can get to the menu where u can reprogram wheels pulse from country setting and and ofcourse hit the botton that said erase all entire software so i actually the os itseft not nav disk not firmware

wow.... I really don't know then. I guess you're hosed unless you can find a dealership to help you out.
