My floormat had developed a habit of somehow occasionaly jamming the accelerator wide open if I floor it, scary to say the least. Yea I have it over the hook, but the end under the pedal is a bit curled up and seems to jam somehow.
Way easy solution, make a new hole further forward by an inch and install another grommet (not reqired), move the pin to the new hole, pulling the rug back a bit. Problem solved.
