edit: I've got a Picasso 1500d I can sell you cheap, it's lightly used, I had it running 2 Picasso 10's which are for sale too. :) |
lookin good
|
Looks good man - but you gatta find a way to hid all those wires...
|
im probably going to make a slit in the carpet sooner or later to hide them.
and nuke, yea i saw your setup. its nice =p |
Very nice setup man.If you dont want to cut up the carpet, a simple false floor or amp "beauty ring" would cover up that wiring for you too.
PS - Those wheels look sick on there too! |
beauty ring? is that the black tube?

And since you bought it used, I recommend removing the front cover to check the jumper settings inside. |
haha, i just noticed you used the same signal wires as me too. the RF ones at best buy. i couldn't resist them only being $8.

Sweep is to adjust the center frequency the bass boost is at. And obviously that boost will roll off gradually in both directions from that center frequency. The Width knob is to adjust how steep that roll off curve is. From a sharp spike, to a smooth hill for snow tubing.:)

im still kinda new on how to adjust it so please dont flame me, but how would i go about in setting it? would i adjust the sweep so that its hitting in the right place? and the width would be how much from that right place the other right places to hit would be?
its new =) And I have no idea what you're talking about. Lemme make it extremely basic and try to draw you a picture with words. Because I dont have time to do it in paint. lol Just like the different bands on an EQ.... bass boost increases the output at a certain frequency. Say... 45Hz. Well we obviously couldn't have a single frequency with a huge spike on it. The music would sound like crap. Normal normal normal, then BOOM anytime a 45Hz note was played. So we have roll off. Shaped like a hill, bell or mountain. The peak being 45Hz, and the sides gradually sloping back to sea level. 47Hz a little less boost... 50Hz less boost yet..... 55Hz less.... 60.... etc etc. Until your even again with all the upper frequencies. So sweep changes the "peak" of your mountain. Donno what their actual numbers are for the BX15, but say anywhere from 25Hz to 75Hz. Then the width knob changes how steep the slope is on that moutain. Might be able to change it from a huge spike at the set frequency, to a super gradual slope grandma could climb. What do you need to set it at? Well, whatever sounds best to you. If you want more bump, maybe center at 45Hz and set the width at half? Again, I have no clue what the "settings" would mean with that unit. IE. What frequency is half way? Or how steep is 3/4 up? etc etc |
its 27-63hz. i fully understand you, im gonna go tweak it now. thanks il llet you now how it goes!
|
oh yea one more thing. lol
the pfm subsonic filter control. controls frewuencies 35-80hz. they say leaving it at 35 is fine. but if i increase the sweep would i increase the pfm filter? |

If you increase it, between your subsonic filter and your amp's low-pass filter.... you'd have nothing left.:) |
i love you.
hmm that shouldve been a pm... |
car audio rocks!
|
Why yes. Yes it does.
|
We should kick it dude...you know just as much about car audio as I do, or more...how exciting!
