Mod Idea - "The Architech effect" -Fuel Intake Housing LEDs

I was thinking of putting three or four LEDs in the fuel intake housing, I think the effect would just kill 'em out on the streets at night! In lay terms; "I think the effect would be very impressive to anyone who may view it during the evening!" J/K :D

But seriously, I think the effect would be hot, and it may be something that starts a trend in import tuners! I'm thinking of calling the Mod "The Architech effect" for the sake of description.(C'mon... smile, it's funny!)

I also feel that if you come up with a new or original MOD... Name It, why not. It'll make you feel prouder about it if it catches on, and to have people refer to the Mod by the name you've given it! (Just another way to allow the RX8 community to have more fun, possibly start a new trend, and set us apart from the rest of the import tuners!)

If anyone decides to do it or gets it done before I do let me know how it turns out. I'm gonna try to get it done by the end of the day! I'll post pics and a DIY when I get it done!

Since I haven't heard an answer, what I think he meant was to put a light under the fuel door. I looked at it, and it's make a cool little glowing circle on the side of the car. I think it'd be pretty neat. I started looking for a way to wire it. I thought I might be able to go in from the trunk/boot:P, but I haven't taken the "carpet" off yet. If not, I have to fix a little ding in my 1/4 panel, so I could check to see if I could go that way when I pull that off.

But, if the only way in is through the back seat area, it might not be worth it to the average joe (which makes those of us that do it a little more unique).

So, if he isn't talking about something else then that is my two cents... If he is, were gonna call what I'm talking about the "Architecture in Helsinki Effect" after the band :P (or some such silly thing)

What I am refering to IS lighting underneath the fuel door. And eurika I have done it! This mod does require some drilling! And Oh my god is it worth every hole. I can't explain the effect the light gives off from behind the fuel door!

I also thought the way in was through the back seats, I was mistaken! The way in is to remove the panel in the trunk on the drivers side of the car!

I will post a DIY as soon as I get the pics developed!

Ha. Maybe both. I think it would look cool. Though, if I do it, I'm going to avoid drilling (at least through metal). Waiting to see pics first, though. In my mind, it looks neat.

Have you gotten pulled over for illegal lighting? Because I know here in Oklahoma, that you can only have White on the front, yellow for the sides, and red for the back.

Some states will let you have certain color rear side markers... I wonder if this mod would count :P

Like the current going to the fuel pump in the tank, which tends to have quite a bit more gasoline present than at the top of the fuel filler neck?
