Whats up.....

I was wondering, anyone MOD their RX-8 with Mirror Turn signals...like the Benz's and BMW's have? I think that would make the car even more appealing. I think it would be even more sporty/classy.

Haven't seen anyone sell that part yet. if it did, I think it would sell... would really tight.

 

Do you mean signals in the mirror itself, or on the front of the mirror housing (ala the concept RX-8)? The latter would be a custom job. You'd have to find a lens with the right curve, figure out how to countersink and attach the lens. If the bulb secures to the lens itself, then all you'd have left to do is run wiring to the turn signal lines (wherever those are located).

If you meant the mirror itself - that would be much harder, I think. You'd probably have to modify a unit for another vehicle that fits our housing.

Either way, it's actually a pretty neat idea for a unique mod - provided it looks nice afterwards, and not like some Pep-boys stick-on reflector.

 

Most likely their will be M3 style mirrors for the car or something like that soon, just wait and see........

 

Nice, yup both would be great. but what I really want is the FRONT turn signals..(ala looking at the car from the front..u can see them...(in white) that would be Beautiful..plus would look great when turning.

Waaaall, you could get something like this on eBay... designed for a Miata, but I'm sure it would work on the '8.

 

I think those just stick on top of the mirror. Look like crap on a $30K car, IMO.

 

the ganador mirrors on vivids car are sick...

 

I like the mercedez type. definitely hope someone produces this style.
