So I bout the metra kit for a double din I have and the hole isn't big enough to fit the head unit. The fitment isn't even close. Any body else have this happen?

the audio store tried sliding another one through it and it was a no go. we took a dremel to it and got it to "work" the screen doesnt quite close all the way but it just looks like the tilt is adjusted..im wondering if i just got one from metra that was made bad..also the metraonline.com website says "you are not authorized to view this site"...dunno what thats all about...but other than the fitment everything else was great with it. the paint looks good, all of the display and a/c controls work..does anyone make JUST the faceplate and not the whole kit?

one more thing. I think that the thing on the stock radio that auto adjusts the volume is doing it with the aftermarket unit. Is there any way to turn this off?

if the audio is still adjusting then it's either a bad connection or your new stereo has this feature. You took out the old stereo and that feature is built into it.

Thanks for the reply. I dunno if this radio has it or not the instructions are pretty retarded... Does anyone know if the 09-10 faceplate is the same as the 04-08 because you can buy just the faceplate for the 09-10 and I can't find any for the 04

well i got everything in. i guess this unit and the other one the audio store tried in are just bigger than other double dins..it doesnt look to to bad but definately not like i wanted it to. at least everything in the a/c and radio works like it should. If i can ever find JUST the faceplate for sale ill probably buy another head unit. but this will work till then
