ok ive searched the forum and could not find any kind of manual or a thread on how to use the mazda ipod integration thing. i bought my 8 and the mazda ipod thing came installed in it. i dont have the manual or the know how to use this thing but i would really appreciate some help. when i hook the ipod up a mazda emblem appears on the screen on the ipod but i cant figure out how to get it to play through the speakers. i dont really know if its hooked up to the car rite nor do i even know if its in working order but if someone could tell me on how to use it or upload some kind of manual or if i missed the thread tht has this info direct me to it. i would greatly appreciat it.

I don't have the Mazda version, but with mine you basically just hit play on the ipod first, then plug it in. After that you can use the controls on the wheel/HU to change songs.

Is this the mazda IPOD integration system? I would realllllllly like to buy one myself but I need more information.

Just ordered the grom adapter. seems to be the exact same as the mazda edition only it doesn't lock out the ipod. and the price was way cheaper.

You access the ipod through the CD button.
One push you get CD and another you get EX which means external.
I put instructions for operation in my IPOD thread in the Canada forum.
