Are there anything special about these interior lights? (Under the dash for driver and passenger seat lights). I saw some sites selling them directly from Mazdas for about $80. Anyone got these yet? Are there anything special about them? or can is it like any other aftermarket ones? I remember I had some from a certain site for my TC, and I was wondering if i should just get the same ones or these Mazda ones. Thanks.

 

you could make your own you know what your doing and it would be cheaper than going through mazda.

I have them, along with everything else it seems

They come on when the door is opened, and then self dim. I am going to hook them up to a swicth next to the DSC button next.

 

how were the installs? simple as in anyone can do, or a little use of cutting and wiring? thanks

 

Simple. A *** could do it in under an hour. Package comes with everything you need.

 

oh, so its that simple... i had a hard time removing the head unit cuz of that damn hidden screw. i hope i dont have trouble with simple lighting haha.

The Mazda Footwell Lights are all red.

 

Where exactly do they connect to? Can anyone take a pic?

If I install my own aftermarket I want to have the same door activation by splicing into the stock connectors...
