Looking for the right bulb

I am going to buy clear sidemarkers. The color of my 8 is winning blue and i want to place a blue color bulb in the sidemarkers. Anyone know of a really good bulb that will last and the blue color of the blub wont fade? post links please!!!! thanks

I don't have the info you need. But, you might want to check with your local laws as to the legality of the side marker colors. For example, some states require it to be amber/orange in color. I installed the clear side markers and just put amber bulbs in place of the clear originals. Post pics when you end up getting it done, I'd like to see it. Sounds like it will look sharp...

Exactly. Most states require amber, I am not sure if any allow blue, red or green, I highly doubt it. I used amber LEDs in mine. I think you can get away with white in some states.

The bulb size you need is type 194. Everything you ever wanted to know about bulbs and lighting can be found in the Audio and Electronics forum, here.
Try this thread first.

Also, blue lighting is reserved for emergency vehicles only in all states, so be advised that if you put in blue bulbs you WILL get pulled over and at least get a ticket.
