Little blue dots on Navi screen?

Here's my silly question of the day.

When I'm driving and have my navi system on (no destination set), I see little blue dots/circles on the screen along the street I'm driving on. They don't seem to correspond to anthing on the road, and I was just wondering if anyone knew what they were. I couldn't find anything in the owner's manual.

The blue dots are the last locations you traveled. You may think of them as "bread crumbs". I believe the memory is 40 "dots", so the old "dots" will be replaced by the new "dots" as you travel new places.

Oh, and there is no way to easily erase the memory, so if you girlfriend can get into the Nav screen, she can see where you've been. HA!

the bread crumbs is a user set option. My car came with it disabled, I had to hunt around to enable it.

How do I disable it again? It's somewhat annoying, or at the very least distracting.

It's in the setup menu. I think under map. You might have to page down to see it.
