LED Interior Lights issue.

I just bought some of the interior LED lights from RX8strakes.com and I'm having trouble with the dome light. It stays on ALL THE TIME now. Even when the car is parked and turned off and, more annoyingly, when I'm driving. Its pretty dim but still distracting enough, and when I turn the dome light off, the other lights(map and door) come on instead. Help please!

just redo the install like heyarnold69 said.. I put mine in a while ago from rx8strakes and never had a problem. if it doesnt fix it.. contact them and send the LED back and they will send you a new one.

Believe it or not.......just try it.........take it out, turn it around, and put it back in.
BTW.......link the page on their site to the exact thing you are using in that dome position. I'm wondering if it's a little bit long and causing issues on one end or the other.

I've tried flipping it around, spinning it, pretty much everything but kissing it. Still no luck. I'm still waiting for a reply from the 'strakes' site, but in the meantime- what are the chances of it draining my battery with it on all the time?

Have you tried putting the original bulb back in?

You're not nuts - a similar thing happened when I tried LED lights in the doors. I'd go out in the evening, everything was dark & the car locked, and there was the freaking passenger door light on very dim, but on nevertheless. Not the drivers side, just the passenger side and I never could figure how it was happening, so I just put the normal bulbs back in.... must be some weird Mazda thing with the dimming circuit or something.

No issue here so it is not a weird Mazda thing. Also never heard anyone else with the issue. not saying you do not have an issue, just saying it is unique/not the norm.

Take care,

Brian
