I recently (today) bought stock leather interior from a friend to replace the cloth seating and then came to the thought, wow i now have to figure out how to wire them seeing as they are different then the cloth ones.

I do have the wire harnesses for the drivers seat from the rx8 that had the leather as well as the wire harness for the buttons.

Anyone done this before or can direct me to a DIY post?? Thanks!!!

 

Hey, I did this and had some problems, but if you have the same year seats as your car, it should be fine. I put '05 seats in my '06 and first the airbags didn't work, then when I had them fixed at the dealer they disconnected the heated seats, so that was a hassle, but in the end it all worked out. And the leather looks AWESOME! You'll love it

 

ok so ur saying even tho they're the leather the harness is still the same for them or does it require a lot of work to get the seat wire harness to work
