Kicker 12L7 box

I have a few questions on building a box for a single kicker 12L7 that I have. I've seen the box from ebay and understand that could be an option. I've been told that a small sealed enclosure would make the speaker sound like crap unless I listen to mainly rock and roll. I listen to a little bit of everything. Most friend tell me to put it in a large ported box 2 plus cubic feet (large only in an rx-8). I've measured the indention in the trunk and can build a box that would easily fit in there and still have some room to place other items and remove the box as needed. It comes to around 1.1 cubic feet internal. Sealed specs call for .88 to 2 cubic ft. What do you think I should do? Thanks

yup - just buy the box - i had tons of kicker stuff - all sounded great - i had 1 10' l7 in a huge ported box sounded great - then after that got stolen - i had 2 10" l7 in a sealed box - the only bad thing bout going with a sealed box - which is way smaller -is youu gotta give it alottta power - the ported box sounds louder with less power - make sure you get a lotta watts for thaat sub - check out hifisoundconnection.com - great prcies on all kicker stuff - i would get a capaciter 2 - that 12 is gonna suck up some power - send me a im if any other questions - i had so many systems - most stolen from me - lol
