Keyless remote programming
 

Does anyone know how to program a keyless remote? I bought a new used 8 that didn't come with a keyless remote. I have one of the remotes from my old 8. Can I program it to work with my new car? If possible, I could use step by step instructions on how to. Thanks

Stopped by a Mazda dealer today and they showed me how to bind a remote with a car. Here's how:

sit in the car with the driver door open.

1. Turn ignition on and off 3 times and leave on (just turn one click, don't start the car)

2. Press the door open sensor button on the rear door (it's rubber & about knee high) 3 times.

3. Press the unlock button on the remote.

Wait a second and try. Should work. Hope this helps out anyone else in the future.
Note: You have to do all three steps relatively fast from one to the other.
