I am interested in buying an RX8 but the rear seat/center console over gearbox tunnel might need to be changed to suit my needs.
Does anyone have any pictures of the interior rear of the car with the center consul, seats and rear carpeting removed. How high is the the gearbox tunnel itself (metal of floorpan) compared to the height of the rear seats?

I've seen this asked before, and if you're planning on putting in a bench seat, you're out of luck. There are only a few inches of clearance between the top of the console and the gearbox tunnel, roughly 4-5" above the rear seats.

 

It may work if you don't mind removing the gas tank and that pesky driveshaft thing.
