Interior color difference

So I've seen a couple posts (can't find them anymore) saying there is a slight color difference between the cloth and leather interiors.

What I'm asking is if the color of the center console lid be different? It looks like the other vinyl pieces in the car's interior but it feels somewhat leathery to me so I can't exactly tell what material it is.

Thanks

Some models do have a different center console sliding lid material/look.

The center armrest isn't leather. Its some type of soft plastic/rubber.

On the Shinka and R3 I believe it is. Not sure on what other models. I do remember seeing a black leather version as well.

News to me, but then again I have an 04'.. hehe. I guess I should have realized it could have changed since then.

So there's no way to be sure that a new lid will match the rest of my interior?

From http://www.mazdapartscenter.com there is only one lid option, so would it be better to order that, purchased a used one from a part out, or go to the dealership and have them order me a brand new one?

Me too. I have the Zeta cover which I love but it's not leather either. But I often drrol over my buddies black leather one with red stitching in his R3. The Shinka's is Alcantara I believe and was available in black leather or tan. there was also a sand interior available that is often confused with the Shinka interior.

Shinka:

It's very confusing as there were change over the years, even in the Shinka's I think.

Yeah I guess it makes most sense to go to the dealership and see if they have any specific information to order a certain material or something.
