Interior cabin lights will not go off
I took my car to the dealership last week to have a 15000 mile maintenance done, to get the passenger side sun visor replaced, and to have a rattle in the moonroof (when fully open) checked out. The following day, I get a call from them saying that they were waiting on parts for the sunvisor and guide rails for the moonroof. Later in the day they received the parts (that was quick!), and said they were working on the car. Third call... the moonroof no longer works -- upon further clarification, they determined they blew the fuse and the moonroof motor was dead. They have since ordered a new motor and I took my car back for the weekend.
Getting out of work that night I noticed the courtesy door lights were on as I approached the car. The doors were fully closed and the ceiling lights were switched off (funny; I always leave them in the "door" position). The door ajar indicator works properly and the ceiling lights can be turned off by setting their respective switches to the off position; however, when set to the "door" position, they will remain on with the courtesy lights, and never fade out after closing and/or locking the doors. I suspect a short somewhere that the cabin lights may be feeding off of some always-on power line.
I went up to the dealership the following morning (Saturday) and pointed out the issue. Unfortunately they only do maintenance on the weekend, so I had them document it with the pending moonroof motor work order.
Any ideas on where the short might be after they screwed around with the moonroof wiring? I really wanted to kill the lights for now, thinking I could pull the proper fuse, but unfortunately that same fuse is linked to the keyless entry and electronic lock system. If it were easy to fix this supposed short, I'd do it myself. For now, I think I'll have to fess up and yank the courtesy bulbs.

I had the same issue a couple of months ago after having some body work done on mine. The body shop had pinched a wire in my passenger side mirror when they reinstalled it and it caused all the lights inside the car to stay on at all times. Could be something similar in your case.
