you can install a cd player in the 8 that plays mp3's, but depending on how you want to do it you are looking at about 350 up to over 1000. the 350 option would be for a 6 disc alpine fm modulated setup, over 1000 would be replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket radio, and that doesnt even include the price of the radio itself.

you can install an fm modulated cd player that plays through the stock radio with a separate control. or you can have a custom dash made to the tune of somewhere around 1000, and yes the cd and a/c controls are one piece, yes the radio comes out, but it has to be customized to be able to put an aftermarket radio/cd player in. go to a local car stereo shop (an independant, not a big box like best buy) and ask them what it would cost to do what you want.

Just get the MP3 CD Player from Mazda... you remove the OEM CD Player and install the MP3 Player.... Search is your friend...

Dude, I just removed a cd player from the RX8, let me find out if it is the MP3 version or something different. I am about 3 hours away from you, so nice and close relatively speaking. The customer with this unit will no longer be using it and has indicated that he wants to sell it. I can line up a couple of bitchin shops in the lower mainland for you to have the install done at. Need more info, e-mail me to forbidden@telus.net

try speaker city in vancouver or audiolines in burnaby..

speaker city have lost some of thier best installers but i know that audiolines is pretty reputable and can handle highend stuff....

im going to audiolines to do m system up in the near future.. i am also a former customer of Speaker City.

Alrighty then... the customers cd player is a 6 disc and no mp3 and he is willing to sell it. It is not what it looks like you need.
