I need Info on how to connect Jl Audio 500/1 amp
I would like instructions on how to connect my JL Audio 500/1 sub amp and where will it be a good place to put my ampin my RX8. I have a Zenclosure custom sub box for my 10inch JL Audio W7, I also need to know, before I screw on the sub to the box, if I have should stuff the sub-box with foam in order to sound better, if so what kind of foam? Here is a list of what I have to use for the amp connections.
*18 Feet 4 Gauge (AWG) Metallic Blue KLM Power Wire
*3 Feet 4 Gauge (AWG) Silver Pearl KLM Ground Wire
*One inline fuse holder with 80A AGU Fuse
*One 5 Meter eKo InterKonnect Blue OFC RCA Cable with Built in Turn On lead
*10 Feet BLUE Klear Kable OFC 16 Gauge Speaker Wire
*2 Gold Plated 4 AWG Ring Terminals, 2 Gold Plated 4 AWG Spade Terminals
If there is anything else I would need please let me know. Thanks for your time.

I'm assuming by foam you are meaning polyfill or basically thinned out cotton. The only time that polyfill is supposed to be used is when there isn't enough airspace for the sub. The polyfill (in laymans terms) tricks the sub into thinking it has more airspace then it does so therefor it sounds better. I wouldn't recomend polyfill though if the box is ported (since it will all evetually come out of the port, and because a ported box has to have the right airspace to sound right anyway) which I hope it is since JL W7's don't sound very good sealed. If you want a sealed box I would recomend the W6 as it's designed to play better in a sealed box. Good Luck
