HVAC problems w/ corksport kit

Ok, so I installed my D3 with corksport kit and now my AC won't turn off and the front defrost wont turn on. Advice? Seems to be wired fine. Faulty kanatech module?

the wiring can be tricky and confusing - make sure all of the wires are in the right place, seated fully, and not in backwards or something

if it's not any of those then your unit is probably faulty.

OK well turns out everything was connected ok so called corksport and they sent out a new module. Plugged it in today and same problem, except now I can't even use the mode button. Fan and temp ***** work fine along with circulation toggle and rear defrost, but AC, mode and windshield defrost buttons don't respond. I'm at a complete stand still and have no idea where to turn next. Any help would be great.

I feel bad for you, Jefe514 because I know how frustrating it is to hit a snag with something that is beyond your control. Hopefully, Corksport will be able to resolve this issue soon. A lot of us have just purchased the same stereo replacement kit, and we hope this isn't a common problem. Goodluck man.

I have the same head unit in the corksport kit and it works fine. I'd check your connections.

Well I got a hold of a new climate control unit and I am happy to say that all is well. Some how the old unit went bad in the install. Thanks for everyone's input.

I guess just the things that have been said before, like beware of the 10mm bolt. I had to take off the metal guard under the wheel to even see it. Also, make sure your wires are organized from the beginning. It was a bitch trying to make the HU fit will all the wires back there. I'm using the PAC SWIPS steering wheel module and it works great and cost less than $50. Pass on the corksport module, and that goes for the bose adapter as well. All you need is a $40 line converter to integrate into the Bose setup. That's what I did at least.
