How do I fix this?

I made the car lot I bought my 8 from repair the heater board, When they pulled the head unit they just used a flathead screw driver to pop it out, Needless to say they really buggered the dash edge. I am thinking of getting some crome pinstripe and going around the edge to try to cover it. Any one have any better ideas?

Honestly the pinstripe idea sounds terrible..
You can sand the plastic down to smooth it all out then buy some of the texture spray paint that looks just like the interior's texture then paint it flat black to match.. Ive done it on a few things to fix scratches but you gotta do it right or you'll really fawk it up.
