hid headlights

I was thinking about getting hid for headlights. But are the blue or purple colors good to drive with?

The higher the k (8,000k, 12,000k etc.) the more usable light you lose. But it "looks" cool But the stock 4300k (I think) are the best in terms of visibility and the highest OEM's are Phillips 5,000k I believe. Search is your friend.

Yup, 4350K is stock... You can get better looks by getting matching incandescent H11, H9 and W5W bulbs

I have the stock HIDs but am looking to improve my lights on look. What exactly are you talking about with the matching of the incandescents? Which bulbs are you suggesting to replace? What are the light codes, bulbs, sub codes? I know that the fog lights have better visibility in the yellow/amber ranges.

Thanks

H11 - fog
H9 - high beams
W5W - parking lights

Order 4350 color temp.

Visibility? Huh? How about looks?

Visibility, meaning functionality, needs to be maintained. When my fogs are on right now they just look dull and cheap compared to the head lights. I've seen cars that have cooler headlights go warmer in the fogs to improve both the look and visibility in foggy conditions.

So I'm looking to keep stock HID (for now), replace the fogs with something amber, and want to see what's available for parking and turn signal.
