Help...urgently!

Posting here hoping to get a response soonish....

HELP!

Factory BOSE System - Ok, got the back seats out, no probs, got the deck covers off, no probs. Got the New Infinity 9613i 6 x 9s in fine....

Hooked them up, paying careful attention to +/- as per the first post....

Now, when the ignition is on, (the HU doesnt even have to be on) there is a loud BEEEEEEEP (constant, painful) coming from the front door tweeters.....more from the drivers side...

Unplugged everything, doesnt go away... only goes away when I unhook the amp.

Left the terminal off the battery for 10 minutes, maybe to reset things...no go...

Zero chance I have grounded the tweeter, as I havent touched the fronts at all...

.... have I fried my amp, and how the f...... could I have done that, given all I did was replace the rear speakers???

Anyone come across this before?

there are alot! of wires back there on the deck double check you didn't pinch or pull any wires out of place. sounds to me like some kind of safety feature for the head unit if a wire is grounded out or came disconnected....wait a minute if your still running the stock head unit and amps im not even sure you can change the stock speakers...but i dunno

YOu need to go back and check your wires carfully. there is a Rear Amp in the back for the Factory Sub. MY guess is you miss wired the Sub Signal into your left or right channel. Just take it all apart and hook it back up one thing at a time until you find the issue. IF you fried the AMp it shoudl not make any noise at all. But anything is possible.

Email me or PM me ill help you more. But i cannot stand this fourm any more with all the Advertiseing it is really turning me off..

****Hangs head in shame****

After going over everything bit by bit, I found nothing...

I was about to give up, and I was packing the tools away, and a screw fell in the boot. I got right in to fish it out...and as I was there I happened to look up, and I discovered when I had screwed down the speaker to the deck lid, I had inadvertently screwed into the wiring loom...thereby grounding a line or two...

My hapiness at solving the problem out weighs my n00b shame, so I thought I had better put my hand up and admit the problem, lest no-one else makes the same error and spends the best part of a weekend pulling their hair out try to figure out wtf is wrong..

Cheers

Removed the screw, taped up the wires the screw had exposed, replaced screw making sure it did'nt go into the loom this time...

Super happy, decent sound now...just trying to source an AuxMod.... Syflex dont seem to be responding to my emails...
