04 grand touring edition.

all of a sudden, my front speakers go out. woofers, tweets, and center. only hearing sound out the back 6x9s and tweets.

i disconnect the wiring harness from the amp and plug it back in (this works to fix the air bag light problem with the connectors underneath the seats, so i figure why not, i'll try it..) and now i hear static coming from the center speaker only. it'll randomly get so loud i'll have to shut the car off and start her back up to return it to the low-volume static.

anybody know what this could be? i'm guessing a wiring malfunction, and maybe the amp is going bad.

any suggestions on how to fix it?
