HDTV / ATSC Tuner

Does anyone know of one that might exist or could be in the making? The LCD Navi screen is digital so it should allow for widescreen HDTV display. This would be a better option in the long run. I wouldn't consider getting any NTSC tuner as the picture quality would suck.
I would really like to watch Monday Night Football on my Navi screen on the way home from work!!

That's funny, I really like to watch the road on my way home from work.

To answer your question, mobile HD reception is going to be very difficult in many locations. Without a high-gain directional antenna (typically a bulky yagi-style antenna) aimed in the direction of the transmission tower, getting reception in urban areas is difficult do to multi-path interference.

Now in the future they might have diversity antennas available or better receivers available, but that is going to be a while and I don't know how well they are actually going to work.

Watch TV as you drive? I'm glad you're on the opposite side of the planet.

If you install a fridge and a microwave in the back, you'll be able to have a few beers and make your dinner while you enjoy your game!

Have you ever seen the Simpsons episode where Homer buys every type of appliance imaginable for his car. The snowcone maker and the turntable were cool. But in the end he wasn' t paying attention and found himself driving down a dock. His fax couldn't go through in time to save him and he ended up in the drink. yeah... if you get that tv tuner I hope you can swim.

The only high def mobile recievers I have ever seen are sat. recievers. They are on a gimble to rotate for tracking. They are about 3 foot in diameter and weigh about 100 lbs. I guess you could put it on the roof. Beyond that Mr. Wiggles is right you will need a directional antenna to pick up. Also the LCD is wide screen but no where near high enough resolution to be worth the expense of an HD tuner.
