what do you need screens in the back for? the only thing i can think of are the cheap ones that strap around the seat. there aren't very many option that would look good.

I have the strap on kind and they dont work well with the seats. I have kids and use my car alot, just thought they would look better if they were install in the seats.

I believe she is talking about TV Screens in your headrests, so people following you can watch TV instead of your brake lights, or in her case... kids.

I've been on here a while and do not recall someone doing this. Doesn't mean it hasn't been or can't be. If nobody here is able to help, check out some G35 forums, they are into that sort of thing.

You should be able to custom mount some screens in there, but they will have to be somewhat low in the back of the seat. And I think you are going to be treadign on thin ice when you do it. Since there is no removable headrest, one wrong move and you will be re-upholstering the entire upright of the seat...

You also are most likely not going to get your money back out of it at all when you sell the car.

My $.02 (I know it wasnt asked for...), If your kids cant go 10-15 minutes without watching TV you might want to re-prioritize some things... My GF has a TV in her car, and they want to watch TV just to drive to the store, we live literally half a mile from the damn store, it takes her longer to get the damn TV working than it does to drive to the store. It is rediculous. It is great on long trips, but I would hate to have kids in the Mazda for a long trip, and I am sure they would be uncomfortable as well. If you absolutly must have, cant live without, a TV screen in your car try a roof mounted one which will block your visibility (but its OK, we already have enough blind spots, one more wont hurt, right?) of both the kids and the road. Otherwise, I suggest breaking the kids addiction to television, which is really a better and cheaper solution for everyone.

I rigged something to work with a portable DVD player. But I don't think buying a rollbar is practical for most. This is not a common thing for me to do so spare any safety comments please.

i saw a thread somewhere on this once..and I remember it saying that it wasnt a difficult job. I guess you would just block the front rotor on the seat so you cant see through, take the back off, cut the shape of the screen, and remove a little of the padding. Then you just mount it to the seat back since it hard plastic, and sandwich it in. I mean..that seat back in the pic above looks stock, and not a fiberglass piece/addon or anything..Wiring would probably be a pain though..

That is exatly what I am looking for...thought it would have to go over the rotary hole in the seat.
HOSS- I completely understand what you mean about breaking kids from watching too much television. That is why I dont have one in the house. We live so far from anything that a quick run to the store is 30 min, and if the TV keeps them quiet and entertained I am willing to do it But thank you
