Question Grounding Question

Hi All,

Sorry to start yet another thread on my IPod XCarlink buzzing problem but I'm approaching this from a slightly different angle.

I'm a complete n00b when it comes to car audio but I often hear that audio issues such as buzzing are related to insufficient grounding, or I should say a high resistence to ground. Is there any truth to this? Is it possible that a grounding kit would improve the buzzing? Everything I've read suggests that the IPod kit should be ground through the IPod adapter since the IPod is drawing power but that would be dependent on the overall resistence to ground I would think? I'm just making this up as I go along, but seems to hang together...

Should I look at a ground kit or perhaps a simply DIY ground? Or is there something I can check with the existing ground wires? I do see that what I think is the ground wire is securely connected to the battery terminal.

I'm kind of desperate so any thoughts would be appreciated. I really don't want to return the XCarlink but it's looking like I might have to.

Thanks.
