Ground for Wideband with Cobb?
Alright, I am probably making this a lot more difficult than it should be....but it's really got me stumped so I figured I would go ahead and ask.
I just bought the PLX SM-AFR and DM-5 Wideband and single gauge setup. I have it installed already using a chassis ground above the fuse box, but I do not have it set up so that the COBB can read it's data. Only the gauge.
Has anybody else used this gauge and set it up for data logging?
Im not sure where to run the wires. The direction says use the same ground location for the wideband that my datalogging device would use. Where is that at?
And my other question is, where do I run the other wideband wire to so that it is sending data to the ecu?
Because as of right now....its stand-alone, and there is no possible way the COBB can see it.
Like I said before, I'm sure that I am making this a lot more difficult than it should be, but ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Sean.

You need to have the SM to USB adapter or something to connect the module to the computer. If not, get to that first. The extra analog output wire is just a voltage wire for another gauge. You need to be able to datalog it on the computer using the PLX software before you can connect it to the Cobb Racetuner.

thats what I was afraid of....the only way to get the data to the cobb data logs is to buy the cable and make a separate data log with it?
Seems like it would be hard to get the two datalogs to sync up. Mazdamaniac told me to buy this one so he could finish tuning my car but like I said, i don't see how to send him this wideband data through a datalog.

No, once you have it hooked up to the PLX software (drivers, etc), you can then hook it up to the Racetuner software instead. It will show up in the log once you configure the log list and set the right COM port.
Like I said, I haven't done it with the PLX module, but I currently use the Innovate LC-1 with the Racetuner successfully.

Be advised that there are many threads on the Cobb Tuning forum from people who are unable to get the PLX to work with AP/ATR
