I replaced my glove box light by keeping the glove box half open, with my hand on top holding the light bulb fixture in place, and my other hand taking the light bulb out (after taking off the lens/cover carefully).

I replaced the factory bulb with a V-Led HID White M-SMT high power bulb.

This can be found here:

They should have other colors too. The white one I got has significantly more light. I also replaced my trunk light with the same bulb.

The ashtray shouldn't be very hard to do.

Actually, found someone who posted this:

"I'm already way too familiar with removing the ashtray light. You have to pull the console trim panel (around the gear shift), unplug the electronics attached to it, unscrew the two screws holding the ashtray module in, pull forward, and to remove the socket reach in around the bulb (nice and tight), squeeze the tabs and pull it out from the back side. Then all you have to do is yank the bulb from the socket."

thats how to replace the bulb but it will not change the color. it is a white bulb. there is a red film window you would have to change out.

Honestly, if you have to mention that to someone, they should not be allowed to drive this car.
