FYI, RX8 has 2 Horns

I just found this out since the one on the right in my car went bad. The dealership just replaced the right one so my car is now back to normal. But for the week or so I only had the one horn (the one on the left) the horn loudness seemed much better when arming the alarm. I'm not sure how you would disconnect 1 of the horns, but for those who think the factory horn is too loud, this would be an easy fix.

I apologize if this is a repost.

Actually, it's quite common to have two horns - one lower and the other one higher pitch usually.
At least both my Ford Probe LX ('90) and Probe GT ('94) had two horns. They were loud

The horn is a chord in the key of Concert F. One note is a concert A and the other is a concert C. I was a music major.

I like it because I tend to honk a people a good amount. I was rather excited today when I found out it has 2 horns. I definitely noticed how much quiter it was with 1 horn. It was nicer when arming the alarm, but it sucked when I really wanted to honk at some crazy drivers.

well you dont need to make the car beep to lock the doors. first press locks the doors. second press just affirms they are already locked by beeping.

to disconnect one just snip the wires going to it

Let's see, the F major scale is: F G A Bb C D E. So A and C are the third and Fifth scale degrees, respectively... So this would be like an implied F major chord, then? (major third plus fifth, with the root omitted)

Note: I'm not a music theorist, I'm just a hack who trys to play guitar... so I might be wrong.

When people say concert F or concert anything, that usually means that the root note belongs to the piano so what ever the root note on the piano is, that is the concert key. If you go to a piano and play the "F" scale and then listen to the horn on our car, the notes are A and C. I just said Concert A and Concert C because I wanted to make sure that people knew that I was talking about A and C on a piano and not on another instrument, like, perhaps, on a trumpet.

My buddy installed a train horn on his F350. It has a separate air compressor. They sell them in kits.

Ah, I get it. I was thinking from a guitar perspective, where the instrument has no key preference.
