Interesting... you're right, not very pleasant looking, but it's a step in the right direction.
How is this connected to Ford btw? Seems like an aftermarket product to me, not specific to Ford or any other manufacturer.

I read a write up that Ford was going to make it a dealer installed option, but I think it is aftermarket as they show it installed in a Dodge on their web page.
