Factory Ipod Options Question

Hello,

I did search, but most posts are about aftermarket ipod adapters, and i already do know how to work the factory ipod adapter.

But my question is.. i always like to play my songs in shuffle mode (in rx-8 terms.. Random).. i know, you can set that on the stereo by pressing the random button.. but when i want to go to the next song in the shuffle part, it cancels my random setting, turning it back to alphabetical artist order, is there any way around this? like my ipod can normally do this, like listen to the next random/shuffled track, but the mazda rx-8 it just goes straight back to alphabetical as soon as i press the "next track" button.

Thanks for any input,
Chris

Interesting find.
I think you can select the random playlist on the Ipod and leave the HU Rnd button alone then next rack will function normally. I don't know if that helps

but its so hard that you never know which play list is random. i hate how it doesnt tell you what play list your on. If youre on random and youre not feeling the song anymore hit random 2 times one to turn it off one to randomize it again. I swear i use that button 10132030813 more times then i do any other button on my car.
