Hi guys,

I'm trying to decide what year Rx-8 to buy and I need some information on color combinations.

I want to get a velocity red Rx-8 but I absolutely hate the Red/black interior of the older ones.

Does anyone know when they switched to an all black interior? Was it in model year 2007 only?

It was always an option to get the red with an all-black interior. All years had that.

 

If this chart is still correct you can get Black, Red and Black, and Sand leather in the VR GT package

 

Could the options be different for Canada?

I'm currently looking at the 2007 brochure and it says that the only option in velocity red is black interior.

There is a 2005 brochure posted here:

and it says that the only option for 2005 is a black/red interior.

anyone have any input? In Canada is 2007 the only model that has an all black interior in velocity red?

 

If you buy one with the red and black interior I will be happy to trade. I have an all black interior and been tring to replace it with the stock red and black interior

 

Not sure how much you hate the red/black interior but i walked on to the car lot a red/black hater and walked off with Titanium Grey with red/black interior and loved it. I was really suprised how much better it looked in person. If you haven't already, go take a look. But get what you want.

 

I got an 04 with all black interior.
